Altemio Sanchez (Altemio C. Sanchez) an American serial killer known as the Bike Path rapist and the Bike Path Killer. Sanchez murdered three women and raped at least fourteen others in the Buffalo, New York area between 1981 and 2006. He would beat and raped his victims before using a ligature, wire, or garrote, to strangle and suffocate victims. In 1987, Anthony Capozzi was wrongly convicted of two rapes later linked to Sanchez. In 2007, Capozzi was release from prison after serving twenty-two years. Authorities found DNA evidence at eight crime scenes that matched Sanchez's DNA. In 2007, Altemio Sanchez was sentenced to seventy-five years in prison without the possibility of parole at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York.

Altemio Sanchez was born on January 19th 1958 in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico. He was born 4th of 4 children and raised by both parents until (Age 2), his mother until adulthood. He was raised as a youngest child and had there, two older sisters and an older brother. His father, Altemio Sanchez, a man caught having an affair with a prostitute, separated from the family Sanchez (Age 2). His mother, Lucy Caraballo. His mother abused alcohol and/or drugs. Altemio Sanchez was sexually, physically, and psychologically abused at some point of his life.
Altemio Sanchez a heterosexual male citizen of the United States of America. He completed 12 years of school, attended some college, no degree received. He married Kathleen Sanchez in 1980, divorced in 2007. He had two sons, Christopher and Michael Sanchez.

In 1981 (Age 22/23) Altemio Sanchez started his killing spree, during his crimes as a serial killer he was known to strangle, rape, and murder his victims. Altemio Sanchez used a blindfold or simiar method of covering the victim's eyes. At the time of his crimes he was living with his wife and two children, where he was known to work as a serial killer.
He was arrested on January 15th 2007 (Age 48), convicted on August 15th 2007 (Age 49), sentenced to seventy-five years in prison at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York, US. He was convicted on charges of murder and other possible charges during his lifetime.
