Waneta Hoyt (born Waneta Ethel Nixon) an American female serial killer who murdered all five of her biological children. Hoyt claimed sudden infant death syndrome SIDS was the cause of death and the doctors agreed. In 1994, Hoyt confessed to smothering her five children, a confession she later recanted. She was diagnosed with dependent and avoidant personality disorders. Waneta Hoyt died in prison of natural causes, pancreatic cancer, in 1998.

Waneta Hoyt was born on May 13th 1946 in Richford, New York, US. She was born 6th of 8 children and raised by both parents. Hoyt was raised as a middle child and had seven brothers or sisters. Her father, Arthur Nixon, laborer for the State Highway Department. Her mother, Dorothy Nixon, a homemaker and factory worker, seamstress sewing baby clothes.
Hoyt a heterosexual female citizen of the United States of America, with religious ties and/or beliefs connected with the Apostasy in Christianity religion, organization or belief system. Hoyt completed 11 years of school, no degree received. Hoyt married Tim Hoyt in 1964, Waneta (Age 17). She had five biological children all smothered to death by Waneta, one adopted son unharmed.
In 1965 (Age 18/19) Waneta Hoyt started her killing spree, during her crimes as a serial killer she was known to murder her victims. She was known to kill at both her home and the home of the victim. At the time of her crimes she was living with her husband and children, where Hoyt was known to work as a serial killer.
She was arrested on March 23rd 1994 (Age 47), convicted on April 22nd 1995 (Age 48), sentenced to life imprisonment at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women, Bedford Hills, New York, US. Hoyt was convicted on charges of murder and other possible charges during her lifetime.
Waneta Hoyt died on August 13th 1998 (Age 52), cause of death: natural causes, pancreatic cancer at Bedford Hills, NY.
