Thierry Paulin a French serial killer known as The monster of Montmartre. While in prison, prior to 1984, he tested HIV-positive, knowing he would eventual die from AIDS, Paulin used this as a motivator towards crime and partying. Paulin killed and robbed old women from 1984 to 1987. He would beat, strangle and/or asphyxiate his victims, one victim was forced to drink drain cleaner. A year after his arrest in 1987, Paulin was hospitalized in a state of near-paralysis, suffering from both tuberculosis and meningitis. Paulin later died of AIDS before trial in prison on April 16th 1989.

Thierry Paulin was born on November 28th 1963 in Fort-de-France, commune in Martinique, France. He was raised by his paternal grandmother until (Age 10) mother and step father briefly until (Age 10/11), father until adulthood. Paulin was raised as a only child and had multiple step-brothers and step-sisters. His father, abandoned the family and flew to France just after Thierry's birth, accepted custody of Thierry (Age 10/11). His mother, a single teenaged mother, later married.

Prior to his spree he had commited crimes, served time in jail, and served time in prison.
In 1984 (Age 20/21) Thierry Paulin started his killing spree, during his crimes as a serial killer he was known to rob, strangle, and murder his victims. He was known to kill at the home of the victim. At the time of his crimes he was living with multiple locations in France, where Paulin was known to work as a serial killer, waiter.
He was arrested on December 1st 1987 (Age 24), sentenced to life imprisonment, plus eighteen years, many charges still pending at Fresnes Prison in Fresnes, France. Paulin was convicted on charges of murder, attempted murder and other possible charges during his lifetime.
Thierry Paulin died on April 16th 1989 (Age 25), cause of death: natural causes, AIDS at Fresnes Prison in Fresnes, France.
