Juana Barraza a Mexican professional wrestler and female serial killer known as La Mataviejitas (The Old Lady Killer) and La Dama del Silencio (The Lady of Silence). Barraza killed by bludgeoning or strangling elderly women to rob them, forty-two to forty-nine total victims. She was found guilty on sixteen charges of murder and aggravated burglary, including eleven separate counts of murder. Barraza's mother, Justa Samperio, was an alcoholic who reportedly exchanged her for three beers to a man who repeatedly raped her in his care. Juana Barraza was sentenced to 759 years in 2008.

"The Old Lady Killer") sentenced to 759 years in prison for killing between 42 to 48 elderly women. The first murder attributed to Mataviejitas has been dated variously to the late 1990s and to a specific killing on 17 November 2003.
