Joseph James DeAngelo (Joseph James DeAngelo Jr.) an American serial killer rapist burglar and former police officer known as EARONS, The East Area rapist , The Original Night Stalker, The Golden State Killer, The Visalia Ransacker and the Diamond Knot Killer, who committed at least thirteen murders, more than fifty rapes, and over a hundred burglaries in California from 1974 to 1986. DeAngelo is suspected of being the Golden State Killer who terrorised residents of six counties during the 1970s and ’80s. DeAngelo was arrested in 2018 after authorities linked him to the cold case homicides using DNA from his 4th cousin which was submitted to gedmatch.com. DeAngelo is being kept in isolation in the Sacramento County Jail.

Joseph James DeAngelo was born (Joseph James DeAngelo Jr.) on November 8th 1945 in Bath, Steuben County, New York, United States. He was raised by both parents until their divorce, his mother and step-father, Jack Bosanko, until adulthood. DeAngelo had two sisters and one brother, Rebecca, Constance and John. His father, Joseph James DeAngelo Sr., a World War II and Korean War veteran who died in 1995 and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. His mother, Kathleen Louise DeGroat, worked at Denny's in Auburn died in 2010.
DeAngelo a heterosexual male citizen of the United States of America. DeAngelo completed 16 years of school, received a college degree. DeAngelo gained part of his education while attending Folsom High School, Sierra College, California State University, Sacramento, College of the Sequoias. DeAngelo married Sharon Marie Huddle in 1973, separated in 1991. He had three daughters with Sharon Marie Huddle. He had a medical condition: micropenis.
Prior to his spree he had commited crimes, and served time in jail.
In 1975 (Age 29/30) Joseph James DeAngelo started his killing spree, during his crimes as a serial killer he was known to rob, rape, and murder his victims. Joseph James DeAngelo used a weapon and was in possession of a firearm during his crimes. At the time of his crimes he was living with one of his daughters and his granddaughter in a Sacramento suburb of Citrus Heights, where DeAngelo was known to work as a rapist, serial killer, thief, damage controlman, police officer, auto mechanic.
He was arrested on April 24th 2018 (Age 72), convicted on August 21st 2020 (Age 74), sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole at North Kern State Prison (NKSP), Delano, California, US. DeAngelo was convicted on charges of shoplifting and other possible charges during his lifetime.

The Golden State Killer is a serial killer, rapist, and burglar who committed at least 13 murders, more than 50 rapes, and over 100 burglaries in California from 1974 to 1986. He is believed to be responsible for three crime sprees throughout California, each of which spawned a different nickname in the press before it became evident that they were committed by the same person.
