Ian Brady (born Ian Duncan Stewart) a Scottish rapist and serial killer who along with his girlfriend, Myra Hindley, are known for committing the Moors murders. The Moors murders were carried out in England between 1963 and 1965. Five children were abducted and at least four were sexually assaulted. The victims were male and female children aged between 10 and 17. Brady was sentenced to three terms of life imprisonment in 1966. Ian Brady was the longest-serving prisoner in British legal history until the record was broken by fellow serial killer John Straffen.

Ian Brady was born (Ian Duncan Stewart) on January 2nd 1938 in Glasgow, city in Scotland, United Kingdom. He was known to kill victims at his own home. At least one victim was tied, bound, or otherwise restrained during the crime. At the time of his crimes he was living with with his girlfriend, Myra Hindley at her grandmother's house on Bannock Street in Gorton, Manchester located in North West England, where Stewart was known to work as a serial killer, butcher.
He was arrested on October 7th 1965 (Age 27), convicted on May 6th 1966 (Age 28), sentenced to life imprisonment, three life terms at HM Prison Durham in the Elvet area of Durham, County Durham, England. Stewart was convicted on charges of rape, murder and other possible charges during his lifetime.
Ian Brady died on May 15th 2017 (Age 79), cause of death: natural causes, restrictive pulmonary disease at Ashworth Hospital, a high-security psychiatric hospital at Maghull in Merseyside, England.
