Kenneth Erskine a British serial killer known as The Stockwell Strangler and the heatwave killer. Erskine, a burglar who raped and strangled at least seven elderly men and women after breaking into their home. Erskine told police he was haunted by a whispering woman's voice, which came out of walls and doors which gave him dizzy spells. Erskine was sentenced to life in prison in 1988. In 2009 the murder convictions were reduced to manslaughter. Erskine is being held at a high-security psychiatric hospital, Broadmoor Hospital at Crowthorne in Berkshire, England.
