Gary Ray Bowles an American serial killer who beat and strangled six men to death to steal their credit cards in 1994. Bowles became a suspect after police found his fingerprints and probation records at a crime scene. Bowles murdered five other men in Nassau County, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; Atlanta, Georgia; and Wheaton, Maryland. Bowles was placed on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted Fugitive List. Gary Ray Bowles was arrested in 1994 and sentenced to death in 1996.

Gary Ray Bowles was born on January 25th 1962 in Clifton Forge, town in Virginia. He was born 2nd of 2 children and raised by his mother and an abusive step-father. He was raised as a youngest child and had one older brother. His father, Frank Bowles, a coal miner, died from black lung disease six month prior to Garys birth. His mother, Frances Bowles, a homemaker who remarried several times after the death of Gary's biological father. His father abused alcohol and/or drugs. Gary Ray Bowles was physically psychologically abused at some point of his life.

He was convicted on charges of murder, robbery and other possible charges during his lifetime.
